BAKA Glass Software nominated by Exact for the Innovation Award

In recent years, we have not been busy with awards or recognition. We were mainly busy building. Just getting better every day and making software that really works for the glass industry. Seven years ago, we started with a blank screen. No existing software, no structure, just an idea and the conviction that it could be done differently and better. Faster, smarter, and above all more practical. Everything we have developed since then comes directly from practice. No redundant functions, but solutions that actually benefit our customers.

An important part of that development is the collaboration with Exact. What started as a link has now grown into a powerful integration used intensively daily. Behind the scenes, hundreds of automatic requests run per day. Orders, invoices, and financial data are exchanged in real-time between systems. For our customers, this primarily means peace of mind. Less manual work, fewer errors, and processes that just run without hassle. That is exactly what we do it for.

What makes this nomination extra special for us is that it comes from Exact itself. A party that works with a huge number of software solutions and companies. The fact that they pick us out and name us as an innovation says a lot. We are honest about it: it really made us quiet for a moment. Because we just do our work. Every single day. But apparently that stands out, and that gives energy.

The award ceremony will take place on May 28 at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, during a grand event where the entire ecosystem comes together. This time on the water, aboard the OceanDiva. A beautiful setting to look back on the past year and look forward to what is yet to come. For us, it is especially a moment we look forward to. Not only because of the award, but also to meet other parties, share stories, and gain inspiration.

We remain down-to-earth about it. No high expectations, no big statements. That doesn't suit us either. We are just a Dutch team busy getting better every day. Building software, making processes smarter, and helping customers. That is what gives us energy. And that remains exactly the same, with or without a nomination.

To Exact, we definitely want to say: thank you. For the trust, the collaboration, and this recognition. We appreciate that enormously. And besides, this is of course also an achievement of our entire team and of all customers who work with BAKA daily. Without that practice and collaboration, we would never have stood here.

After May 28, we will just continue as always. Further building, improving, and optimizing. But first, we look forward to May 28, without expectations but with a healthy tension.
